**CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR 2024-2025!**
The Schools Linking Project is a national programme which has been running successfully in schools for 16 years, creating year-long curriculum rich class links between schools. The project is now open to Newcastle, Gateshead, Northumberland, North Tyneside and South Tyneside Schools.
Cost: FULLY FUNDED (including £150 towards travel costs).
Structure: 2 x CPD's
In school assembly on the theme of getting to know new people
In school art workshop led by Laing Art Gallery Learning Team 1 full day per class at the Laing or Shipley Art Gallery to meet your partner school 2 days in school led by teachers Please note: the teacher CPD 1 will take place online Thursday 17th October 3.30pm-5pm. Visits to the gallery will take place between March – May 2025

The project 'links' pairs of classes from the Gateshead area based on the mutual benefits for the schools. The paired groups will meet three times across the school year with the first of these meetings taking place at the Shipley Art Gallery. At the gallery the students take part in a series of art activities and games.

The project, developed by The Linking Network, is nationally recognised as offering a positive, age appropriate curriculum contribution to spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of pupils, British values and the Prevent Duty.
